Cast off and discover the Vendôme region by canoe!
For a few hours or a weekend, enjoy the thrill of canoeing with family and friends.

Are you more “river” or more “body of water”? The choice is yours, because we offer you both! On the Loir, you can enjoy a contemplative experience as you let yourself be carried along by the current. At the Villiers-sur-Loir leisure center, you can enjoy a leisurely introduction to this activity.

Our favorite is the circuit between Les Roches-L’Evêque and Montoire-sur-le Loir.

Canoeing on the Loir river

The Loir is a peaceful river, ideal for family walks. Lined with mills and private fishing spots, it sometimes holds some surprises in store, such as the remains of fortresses overlooking it at Lavardin and Montoire-sur-le-Loir.

Our preferred route takes you from Roches l’Evêque to Montoire-sur-le-Loir, via Lavardin, the only “Most Beautiful Village in France” in the Loir-et-Cher region. In Lavardin, be sure to take a picnic break or visit the village’s ephemeral craft stores. Before setting off again, take a photo of the magnificent view: the fortress and Gothic bridge look like something out of a postcard!

For other suggestions for outings, don’t hesitate to contact the Canoë sur le Loir and USV Canoë-Kayak associations, who will be happy to advise you.

Now it’s your turn! Get in your canoe and explore our magnificent Loir Valley.

At the leisure center of Villiers-sur-Loir

Néovent offers a variety of boats for hire: canoes, kayaks, dinghies, paddles, catamarans and pedalos, allowing you to enjoy a relaxing moment on a 16-hectare stretch of water with “blue flag” certification.
