Do you know that in the north part of the Vendômois area, you are in the Perche region?

Yes! When you are in Mondoubleau, you are in the south of the Perche which is called “Perche Vendômois”. The town has kept a few old houses like the “governor’s house” located just next to the remains of the chateau.

We recommend the Perche market on Saturday morning, ideal for picking up local products.

The Perche, emblematic natural region is also known for its Percheron horses.
That’s why the Percheron horse is celebrated all year long…

Around Mondoubleau, they are several churches with frescos, in particular Saint-Pierre in Souday.

Here at Arville you can visit one of the best-preserved Templar commanderies in France.

Built in 1130, it was used as a Templar knight recruit and training center.
