In a secluded dale of the Loir valley, you will find the extraordinary Plessis Sasnières garden next to a spring-fed pond.
This English garden is the work of Rosamée Henrion, a lover of trees and plants, she landscaped the garden around the pond, in a refined display of plants and flowers.
The “jardin remarquable” label has crowned the efforts of Rosamée Henrion and her team.
The geography of the site was conducive to creating a true paradise, combining different levels of terrain, the spring pond and built structures.
The stroll follows grassy pathways, mowed twice a week. The square “enclos fleuri” is full of perennial flowers, rose bushes and many trees, in bloom from spring to autumn.
Every mixed border is a different color: yellow, white, pink, blue… An arbor of apple-trees provides flowers in spring, shade in the summer and red apples in autumn.
At the top of the waterfalls grows a beautiful broad-leaved Brazilian gunnera.
Hedgerows and topiary organize and give a rhythm to the space.
Tickets may be reserved online.
